So what is software testing? when are you doing it right?The answer to this question is not very simple. It can be as large as a book... I have been in software testing since 2005 and there is one thing I have learned.... There is no such thing as 'the perfect software tester'... To my opinion there are at least two categories of software testers. The ones that want to check the facts... they want to 'follow the rules', make a checklist and work along with that. Then you have the ones that want to 'break the rules', they want to experiment some more, hack, break, stress things... Ying Yang, you could say. Can you imagine working them together in one team? Where the first one can think outside the box and look beyond the horizon. And the second one, can guarantee that the list of fact-checks is completed? It's hard to describe in text or words what good software testing is... and how difficult it can be... But if you have it under control, then this is how it should be:
