So after all these years of testing, yes you know how to check an alphanumeric input field for bugs, yes you know how to... etc

But please take a moment to consider all the (test) environment parameters (before you start)!

Examples:
Is my server equiped with big ass hardware?
Do I have the right test tools and all the admin rights that I need?
Do I have books at hand? Documentation if I need it?
Are all the fund$ enough?
Do I have collegeau's to spar/discuss with?
Is my CEO providing a good lunch and fantastic coffee?
Ambient noise blocking headphones when I need it?

It all has impact on the overal end result!
(maybe far more then we'd like to admit sometimes...)

So.... take measurements with people on the right hyrarchy level and make sure you arrange the proper necessities to have a hughe impact. Now start testing!
